A cherished and rare achievement for any golfer happened to a member of the PCM boys golf team on Tuesday evening. Just days before competing in the Class 2A Boys State Golf Tournament, senior Logan Van Veen carded a coveted hole-in-one during a practice round on his home course at the Gateway Golf Course in Monroe.
Van Veen notched the ace with a six-iron on the par 3 7th hole. It was the second hole-in-one of Logan’s career and couldn’t have come at a much better time. Van Veen will help lead the Mustangs into Friday and Saturday’s Class 2A Boys State Golf Meet at the Spring Valley Golf Course near Livermore, where No. 2-ranked PCM is certainly a squad that figures to be in the race for a State Title.
