With the passing attack clicking, the Pella Knights semi-professional football team notched their second straight win of the season on Saturday – a 20-0 win over the Midwest Rampage. Quarterbacks Jarred Lackey and Trent McDermott combined for 180 yards through the air and one touchdown, while Lackey added another 88 yards rushing and a score as well. Jose Lainez led the Knights in receiving yards, with 90, while teammate DeMarco Sanders had two catches for nine yards and a score.

Special teams provided a boost on the scoreboard as well, as kicker Jordan Krulik nailed field goals of 32 and 46 yards, along with going 2-for-2 on PATs. Defensively, Pella was led by six tackles from Chris Ruff and three sacks by Jeffrey Little. The Knights are now 2-1 overall on the season and hit the road Saturday night to face the Des Moines Blaze, the defending Midwest Football Alliance champions.
