For the first time in three years Pleasantville’s Chelsea Thomas will not play in the Women’s College World Series. Over the weekend the University of Missouri Softball Squad lost to L-S-U in the Super Regional. That matchup will be a conference match up for Thomas and Missouri next season when the Tigers move to the Southeastern Conference. In a recent interview with KNIA/KRLS Thomas said playing in already one of the nation’s toughest conferences prepared Missouri for the rigors of the S-E-C. Along with L-S-U, Missouri will play Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida all whom have made recent College World Series appearances. Thomas ended the season with a 27-and-nine record throwing 306 strikeouts to just 80 walks. Her E-R-A was 1.16 and opponents batted just 162.
