Individuals golfers from Melcher-Dallas and Pleasantville claimed the top two places and helped both of their teams advance out of Thursday’s Class 1A Boys Sectional Golf Meet. The Saints’ Trent Kennedy fired a two-over par 74 at the Pleasantville Country Club to seize medalist honors, while the Trojans’ Jordan Warner was runner-up with an 82.

In the team standings, Pleasantville came out on top with a 342, just five strokes in front of Melcher-Dallas. Mormon Trail placed third with a 364. Those three teams advance to next Friday’s District Golf Meet, which will be held at the Crestwood Hills Golf Course in Anita.
