While most of the rest of Class 2A began their respective Regional Tournaments, the Pella High girls soccer team took the opportunity to get in one more regular season match and closed their schedule in strong fashion, blanking Dallas Center-Grimes 6-0 Thursday night.

It was Senior Night for the Lady Dutch, and after enduring two lightning delays prior to the match, the squad hit the pitch focused and ready to win.  Coming up particularly big was senior Addie Van Vliet, who recorded a hat trick to lead the Pella High offense.  The Lady Dutch out-shot Dallas Center-Grimes 12-4. as goalkeeper Zoe Vermeer’s four saves helped Pella shut out their 12th opponent this season.

They are 14-3 overall entering next week’s Class 2A Regional Semifinal match, when they’ll host Chariton.  The Chargers advanced past the first round with a 2-0 win Thursday night over Knoxville.
