Twin Cedars suffered a tough setback on the softball diamond Wednesday night, as the Sabers fell at Davis County 9-6. The third inning proved costly, as Twin Cedars committed four errors, contributing to seven runs in the top of the frame by the Mustangs. Still the Sabers pounded out 13 hits and had 5 stolen bases in the loss.

Brittany Roby went 3-for-3 with an RBI and two stolen bases, while Brooke Dunkin chipped in a triple and a stolen base on a 2-for-4 night at the plate. Freshman pitcher Mackenzie Sedlock took the loss in the circle for Twin Cedars, allowing 14 hits, but only one walk and also striking out one.

The Sabers’ record falls to 11-8 overall. They’ll try and turn it around for a big match-up tonight at Melcher-Dallas. The Saints won the previous meeting 7-6 in Bussey.
