For the second consecutive game, the Pella Christian baseball team had to swallow the bitter pill of a come-from-behind, one-run loss, as Norwalk nipped the Eagles 5-6 Wednesday night. Up 5-3 entering the final inning, the Warriors tied the game, then earned the go-ahead run on a suicide squeeze.

Still there were certainly positives for the Eagles to take away from the game. Seven different players recorded a hit, including seniors Will VandeVoort and Jordan Rossler – who each went 1-for-4 with a double, scored a run, and tallied an RBI. Caleb Morgan suffered the loss on the mound in 6 ⅓ innings of work, striking out five and allowing four hits; while walking two and hitting three Warrior batters.

Pella Christian is now 5-11 overall and 1-8 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. The Eagles have the night off before returning to league play Friday at Knoxville.
