Knoxville split its games at the Panthers Baseball Invitational on Saturday. The Panthers blasted Clarke 14-4 as Justin Karnes went 3/3 with three R-B-I. However, in the second game the Panthers lost to Dallas Center-Grimes 13-2. Justin Katich went 2/2 with two R-B-I. The week gets very busy with conference matchups this week for the Knoxville Baseball Squad. The Panthers begin tomorrow with a varsity double header against Norwalk, then after an off day on Tuesday it is back to the field with a road game at Pella, then the week ends on Friday at home with another varsity double header against Pella Christian. Coach Joel Johnson says this point of the season will test his younger players to see if they can handle the rigors of conference play and knowing every game will not be easy. Knoxville is currently 4-9 on the season.
