Led by an impressive night at the plate by Madyson Riebhoff, the Melcher-Dallas softball team out-hit Clarke 8-to-7, but couldn’t get runs across the plate in a 6-1 loss Wednesday night to the Class 3A No. 12-ranked Indians. Riebhoff finished the night going 2-for-3 with a walk; supporting starting pitcher Lexi Crozier. Crozier shook off three walks in the first inning and never granted a free pass the rest of the way, finishing the night with seven strikeouts in the circle for the Saints. The Melcher-Dallas softball team is now 9-14 overall and will host Seymour tonight in Bluegrass Conference play.
