A rubber-down race track spoiled an otherwise exciting night of racing at the Knoxville Raceway Saturday night as the World of Outlaws were in town for the final time before the Knoxville Nationals in August. While he is an Outlaw now, Kerry Madsen moved from his native Australia to cut his teeth on the half mile and scored 16 wins plus a track championship before moving to the Outlaws full time. Last night he notched his 17th win at Knoxville by finding rubber first and leading the parade of challengers to the checkered flag. In the 360s, Clint Garner took everyone behind the woodshed and won easily last night. Garner has now won three times this season.
