Last night’s rain-outs weren’t all bad news, as local ball fields got some much needed water, and a number of busy programs got a night of much-needed rest. Pella Christian’s softball team certainly fit into the latter, as the Eagles took the opportunity to rest some tired bodies that have put in a lot of work through the first half of the season. The Lady Eagles are back at work today, though, as they face Bondurant-Farrar and Centerville today at the Oskaloosa softball invitational.

“Two teams that are playing very well right now. I believe Bondurant-Farrar is rated in the top five in Class 3A, so just teams that are going to bring it. But like I said earlier, if we want to know what it means to be a good team and we want to know what it takes to get to the level of being a good team, you’re going to have to play other good teams,” said Lady Eagles’ head coach Nate Van Wyk.

“I look forward to the match-ups today. I look forward to the competition and the chance to see our girls just grow and learn; and like I said, see what it takes to be one of those top teams.”

Pella Christian is 4-12 overall this season.
