Pella Christian just beat the rain to get in all of the games of their softball invitational Saturday afternoon, which saw the Lady Eagles finish the day with a win and a loss.

Pella Christian took an 11-7 setback against PCM in the opener, with Tessa Howerzyl leading the way at the plate – going 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and two RBIs.  The Lady Eagles bounced back in their second contest, though, defeating Humboldt 7-6.  Howerzyl and Sami Veenstra each had a pair of hits – including doubles for both – and scored a combined three runs in the victory.

There’s little rest for the Pella Christian softball team, as they return to the diamond Monday in Oskaloosa.
