The first of two conference clashes between Pella High and Pella Christian open up this evening, as the Eagles host the Dutch in a softball/baseball double-dip.  It’s twice as much fun on the baseball diamond, as the cross-town rivals will face off in a Varsity doubleheader.  

Both the softball and baseball games are important for both schools, not only in terms of the usual bragging rights, but also because they have the potential to set the tone for what will be a full week of Little Hawkeye Conference games.  The action at Pella Christian High School begins at 5:30 p.m. with the opener of the baseball doubleheader.  The showdown on the softball diamond is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
