USTA Nationals Await Local Gymnasts

A contingent of local youngsters heads to Madison, Wisconsin, later this week to compete in the United States Trampoline and Tumbling (USTA) Nationals.  Flip Squad Trampoline and Tumbling of Knoxville had competitors earn a total of ten state championship trophies in April of this spring, and earned spots in the national competition in 44 of the 50 events they took to Des Moines.  The USTA Tumbling and Trampoline Nationals begin on Tuesday and run through this Saturday.

Local State Champions include: Tori Dye (sub-novice tumbling), Ysena Dominguez-Finch (sub novice tumbling), Lane Franck (sub novice tumbling, intermediate trampoline and sub advanced double mini), Cassidy Pearson (intermediate double mini and intermediate trampoline), Sara Marshall (intermediate double mini), Lexi Mart (intermediate trampoline) and Sydney Washington (sub advanced trampoline).
