Kody Wilkie had a big night at the plate to help the PCM baseball team get out of a losing funk with a 13-4 home win Monday night against Collins-Maxwell/Baxter.  Wilkie finished the night 2-for-3 at the plate, blasting a three-run home run to give the Mustangs the lead and also ripping a triple to finish his night with three RBIs and two runs scored.

PCM put up a combined ten runs between the fifth and sixth innings to put the game away.  Wilkie’s night was complemented by seven additional Mustangs tallying one hit – including Jordan Van Roekel, who scored three runs and stole two bases on a 1-for-3 night at the plate.

The win went to PCM pitcher Sean O’Connor, who threw four innings of one-hit baseball, giving up two unearned runs and five walks with five strikeouts.  The Mustangs’ win over CMB bumps their record to 18-5 overall and 11-4 in the Heart of Iowa Conference.
