All three Class 1A baseball teams in Marion County begin tournament play tonight, as Twin Cedars and Melcher-Dallas begin District play in Bussey; while the Pleasantville boys get started in Sully.

The Trojans are 19-8 entering their District Quarterfinal match-up with the Hawks; who are playing on their home field at Lynnville-Sully.  Pleasantville comes into the tournament hoping to shake any after-effects of a 5-3 loss to Southeast Warren in their regular season finale.

In Bussey tonight, it’s a couple of Bluegrass Conference pairings, with Melcher-Dallas putting their 6-14 record on the line against a Moulton-Udell squad that beat them twice in the regular season; while Twin Cedars will try to beat Moravia for the fourth time this season and build on their 22-9 overall record.

Melcher-Dallas begins play at 5:00 p.m. tonight in Bussey, with Twin Cedars and Pleasantville each scheduled to start their respective games at 7:00 p.m.
