Knoxville Attack Win National Fastpitch Invitational

The Knoxville Attack 12U Softball Squad won the U-triple-S-A National Fastpitch Invitational Saturday in Kansas City. The Attack had to win four games including one in the loser’s bracket after falling to a team from Kansas City, MO. Their first game on Saturday was a 4-1 victory over a team from Lawrence, Kansas. After a loss that sent the The Attack to the losers bracket, they won their way back into the winners bracket and had to play the very team that sent them to the losers bracket, Stars and Spikes out of Kansas City, MO and had to beat that team twice to take the championship. They beat Stars and Stripes by scores of 8-0 and 6-5 to win the title. Two Attack players got tournament M-V-P awards, Hannah Hatch was named the tournament’s overall Most Valuable Player while Cassidy Pearson was named the offensive M-V-P.
