It was a rough start for the Knoxville Little Leaguers at the State Tournament in Sioux City yesterday. The boys dropped their first game in pool play to Raccoon Valley out of Des Moines by a score of 8-1. One highlight of the game for Knoxville was a double play turned by Ben Wallace and R-J Roberts. Head Coach Mike Wallace said the guys also fought nervousness throughout. He added that losing the first game while disappointing, is not going to drop their seeding any in bracket play. Knoxville comes back tonight to play Boone in a 7:00PM contest.
