The 2012 season was a unique one for the Pella High baseball team, as the squad entered the season under the guidance of a new head coach who would be there for this season, and this season only.  Little Dutch head coach Al Vasher said the fact that his players knew he would only be their skipper for the season never changed the way the team played, and ultimately it still came down to the athletes themselves making the season their season.  The Pella High baseball team went 19-17 this past season, making it all the way to the Substate Finals in postseason play.
