Hot bats and stingy pitching came together Thursday night for the Twin Cedars baseball team, as the Sabers downed Iowa Christian Academy 9-1.

Starting pitcher Drew Carlson threw four innings of three-hit baseball to earn the win, with Brent Parker coming in to close out the victory – allowing just one hit the rest of the way.  Offensively, Corey Harrell was 2-for-2 with two runs scored and two walks; Parker went 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and two RBI; and Eric Clark slugged a triple on a 2-for-4 night that saw him also score twice and bat in a run.

Twin Cedars has now won five straight games and improves to 22-8 on the season.
