The fall sports season is starting to really get rolling at Central College, as many of the coaches transition from their offseason schedules to getting ready for another successful campaign. Dutch track and field and cross country coach Joe Dunham says it has been a successful one from a preliminary recruiting standpoint, adding that he’s looking forward to the process of bringing the newest crop of student-athletes to Central.

“It’s been good. We’ve had an opportunity to talk with some soon-to-be seniors. We’ve gotten the chance to get some of them on campus, and that’s been good,” said Dunham. “We’ve been kind of finalizing our recruiting lists of kids we’re going to be really going after this year as we get into the fall seasons. So we’ve just been narrowing that down and getting ready to get after it. The recruiting season begins here soon, so I’m excited for that. I’m excited for new challenges.”

Dunham’s work in cross country comes to a head in just a matter of weeks, as his program starts off the season with the Central Dutch Invitational on September 1st.
