The Central College football team looks to have another hard-fought battle through the Iowa Conference this fall. The Dutch have been voted by league coaches to finish fourth in the conference race. The defending IIAC champion – the University of Dubuque – is the favorite to repeat this fall, as the Spartans were a unanimous top selection. Wartburg College has been predicted to finish second, followed by Simpson College.

Central College went 7-3 a year ago and were 6-2 in the Iowa Conference – tying for second place. Dubuque, Wartburg, Coe and Central all received votes in the D3football.com preseason poll. The Dutch open the season on September 1st at Wisconsin-Oshkosh and open the conference schedule on September 29th against Dubuque.
