After previously talking about House candidates, KNIA/KRLS takes a look at endorsements Iowa Senate candidates have received. Democratic candidate Dick Schrad has been endorsed by many organizations, including the Iowa Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, the AFL-CIO, and the Iowa State Education Association. Republican Amy Sinclair was endorsed by Lt. Governor Kim Reynolds before the primary began, and has also been endorsed by the Iowa Farm Bureau and Iowa Right to Life.

Ken Rozenboom, Republican candidate in Senate District 40, has been endorsed as a friend of agriculture by the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation. He has also been named a friend of business by the Iowa Industry PAC. His opponent, Timothy Tripp, a Democrat, has been endorsed by both the State and National Education Association. He tells KNIA/KRLS News that he has turned down other offers for endorsements, because he doesn’t take money from special interest groups.
