Fall sports have started their preseason workouts at Knoxville, and cross country is expecting another strong season. Coach Mike Moats says there are 35 total runners between the boys and girls squads. He says the kids have been doing well this summer in their workouts. The boys are coming off a 12th place finish at the state meet last season and return four of the six runners from a year ago. The girls will also return most of the team from last season. The Panthers will open their season with a home triangular next Monday at Pine Knolls Country Club in Knoxville.
