Pleasantville’s football team hopes a little home-cookin’ can help them notch their first victory of the season tonight, as the Trojans’ host Martensdale-St. Marys in a match-up of Pride of Iowa Conference rivals. Though the two schools are quite familiar with each other on the fields of athletic competition, it’s the first time in recent memory that the Trojans have faced the Blue Devils on the gridiron.

Pleasantville head football coach Gabe Bakker says his team did a number of positive things in their Week One loss at Eddyville-Blakesburg, but simply needs to avoid the mistakes that allowed last week’s contest to slip from their grasp. You can hear the live action from Pleasantville on kniakrls.com with Cory Houser and Bob Miller providing the live call. Pregame coverage starts at 6:30 p.m. tonight.
