While rain is in the forecast for tonight, the Knoxville Raceway hopes that Mother Nature cooperates to get in the final sprint car show of the season. Two of the three classes have tight points battles that are going to go down to the final race. In the 410s, Terry McCarl has a slim eight point lead over Davey Heskin. While McCarl is eyeing his seventh track title, Heskin is coming in with a ton of momentum off his tenth place finish at the Knoxville Nationals two weeks ago. The 305s have been a back-and-fourth battle between Matthew Stelzer and Mike Van Haaften. Stelzer currently has a 52 point lead over Van Haaften. The 360 race has long been decided as Clint Garner clinched the title before the Nationals. According to the Knoxville Raceway, should the night fall to rain, provisions are in place to postpone the season championship night to next week. KNIA/KRLS will pass along any changes to the Knoxville Raceway schedule when they become official. You can listen to tonight’s action weather pending on KNIA/KRLS starting with Live Track Side at 5:30, and Race Night’s Live at 7:15, also streamed live at kniakrls.com.
