The PCM baseball team proudly boasts seven selections to this season’s All-Heart of Iowa Conference Teams – a prestigious accomplishment in a league that featured State Runner-up North Polk as one of five teams with 19 or more victories this summer.

Senior outfielder Hutch Burns was a First Team selection at outfielder and is joined on the first unit by catcher Nate VandeWall. Second Team All-Heart of Iowa Conference honors went to pitcher Joel Wiggins, infielder Sean O’Connor and outfielder Bryce Wignall. Rounding out those recognized from the Mustangs’ squad were pitcher Alex DeWitte and outfielder Kody Wilkie, who each earned Honorable Mention.

The PCM baseball team went 21-11 overall this past season, coming just a game short of reaching the Class 2A State Baseball Tournament. The Mustangs’ 11-5 league record put them in third place in the ultra-competitive Heart of Iowa Conference race.
