Marion County’s Eight-Man District 5 football teams face a pair of important games tonight. Melcher-Dallas is off to a hot 5-0 start to the season and coming off of consecutive shut-out victories, but faces an H-L-V squad that has also overpowered the opposition and stands in the Saints way of claiming a district title. Twin Cedars also needs a win tonight to accomplish one of their goals for the season, as the Sabers hope to put themselves on a path to return to the playoffs with a victory over Seymour. Twin Cedars is 2-4 overall, while the Warriors are 1-5. Fans at tonight’s game in Bussey are also encouraged to support a “RED OUT” – which is helping support the American Heart Association and raise awareness of heart disease. Kickoff of both Eight-Man District 5 games will be at 7:00 p.m. tonight.
