Knoxville travels to Dallas Center-Grimes in week five of the high school football season tonight. Tonight is unusual in the fact that the Panthers and Mustangs meet as a non-district game. With class three-A having an uneven number of teams for the next two years, each team in Class 3A District eight gets an extra non-district opponent. The Panthers are simply looking to win and end a frustrating two game losing streak in which the Panthers have lost the two games by a combined three points. Coach Troy Rider was concerned about how the players would approach this week, but he has been pleased with the focus of everyone. Dallas Center-Grimes is 0-4 on the season, but Rider says that record is not indicative because of the competition the Mustangs have played falling to A-D-M, Norwalk, South Tama, and Grinnell. You can hear the play-by-play with Derek Cardwell on AM 1320 KNIA starting with the pre-game show at seven, kick off is at 7:30.
