Several of the smaller cross country teams in the local area are set to take on the Diamond Trail Golf Course in Lynnville today for a meet hosted by Lynnville-Sully. Among the teams in the field will be Pella Christian’s girls and boys squads, who continue their whirlwind tour of meets by running their second meet this week and fifth overall since opening their season September 1st.

Eagles’ head coach Jocelyn Meinders says the Lynnville-Sully meet is a great opportunity for her runners to face programs more comparable to their size, after opening the season against a number of 3A and 4A programs. Joining Pella Christian will be programs from PCM, Pleasantville and Twin Cedars. The Lynnville-Sully Invite is scheduled to begin with the JV races at 4:30 p.m. this afternoon at the Diamond Trail Golf Course in Lynnville.
