It’s Homecoming tonight for the PCM Football team, and the Mustangs are hoping to give the fans and alumni another victory as they go for a second consecutive win at home. Greg Bonnett’s squad came back to beat CMB last week 28-21 for their first Class 2A District 6 win of the season and are 2-3 overall entering tonight’s contest against Interstate-35. The Roadrunners will be hungry for a win of their own, though, as they are 0-4 on the season. Bonnett says Interstate-35 will feature a few new looks on offense that PCM hasn’t seen in the past.

“They [Interstate-35] still do what they’ve always done, where they’re going to line up in double-tight [end] formation and they’re going to have backs in the backfield and run the ball at you, just like they’ve always done,” says Bonnett, “but they’ve been able to run some empty formations – just the quarterback all alone back there. There’s kind of a ‘wing’ guy there to protect him a little bit, but they throw the ball all over the place. They’ve got some really good players.”

Justin Webster and Brian Hazelton will be live in Monroe for all the excitement, heard on kniakrls.com, starting at 7:00 p.m. tonight. The game will also be featured on 92.1 KRLS in a delayed broadcast at 1:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
