A group of representatives in the fields of agriculture, shipping, and government gathered in Aberdeen, Washington earlier this month, among them was Cliff Mulder of Pella, representing the Iowa Soybean Association. The were celebrating the completion of a project at the Port of Grey’s Harbor. The completed facility consists of grain storage tanks and shipping bins. The facility will be able to process around 60,000 bushels per hour in preparation for shipping to Asia. Mulder says that its great to see the private sector and public sector working together to increase farmers’ access to the growing grain market in Asia.
