The NCMP girls swim team – which includes four swimmers from Pella High – defeated Southeast Polk in a head-to-head meet earlier this week.

Varsity highlights included first place individual finishes for Samantha Hedrick in the 100-Meter Freestyle and 200-Meter Individual Medley, as well as victories in the 200 and 400-Meter Freestyle Relays, which also featured a leg swam by Hedrick. Pella’s Kira Hanson, Sara Martin and Jeannie Etnyre also swam on relay teams for NCMP that finished in the top four or better.

The team is off until September 22nd, when they’ll compete in an invitational at Valley High School in West Des Moines.
