The A-M-A Motorcycles will run the Knoxville Grand Nationals tonight at the Knoxville Raceway. If last year’s event was any indication of how exciting the racing will be, fans will want to come out. Jared Mees won the Pro Grand National Twins race by less than a tenth of a second. Mees trails Jake Johnson by just one point in the series standings. While Steven Vanderkuur has a two point lead over Ryan Wells. Also back to challenge for a win this season is Shayna Texter from Pennsylvania. Texter won the Pro Singles event last year at the Knoxville Raceway becoming the first female to ever win an A-M-A Flat Track main event. Activities get started early today at noon with a motorcycle rodeo. Action on the track starts at 3:30 with practice and time trials…racing will get underway at around 7:30.
