Race fans in Knoxville love their sprint car racing…and officials at the Knoxville Raceway hope those same fans will come out this weekend and see machines that go fast around the half-mile but have half the wheels. The A-M-A Flat Track Motorcycles invade the Knoxville Raceway this weekend for the Knoxville Grand Nationals on Saturday. Raceway Director of Marketing and Sales Brian Stickel says the crowds were great years ago when the motorcycles held races, and hopes the same happens this weekend. The day begins at the Knoxville Raceway with a motorcycle rodeo at noon. Inside the track…practice and time trials begin at 3:30 with racing starting at round seven. In between the race sessions is an autograph session where fans can visit with the riders during an open paddock session starting at 5:45.
