It’s a return to head-to-head competition for the Pella High volleyball team tonight, as they welcome Dallas Center-Grimes to the Tulip City. The Lady Dutch are coming off of another tournament weekend, which saw the squad go 1-2 at the Iowa City High Invitational. Senior captain Morgan Ernst – a setter for Pella High – says a concentration of hers going forward lies in her sets to the team’s hitters.

“Consistency is one of those things that I’ve kind of struggled with, but we’ve been working on lately,” said Ernst. “ [I’m] just trying to get consistent sets going, so that the hitters can be confident the set is coming to them and get good hits; and then we’re also trying to change it up so the other team doesn’t always know what we’ll be running.”

The Pella High volleyball team is 4-7 overall, entering tonight’s home contest against Dallas Center-Grimes, which starts at approximately 7:15 p.m.
