Currently winless on the season, the Pleasantville Trojans will have a steep hill to climb to reach that first victory, as they’ll be playing a Lynnville-Sully squad that is 3 – 2 on the year with a 2 – 1 Class A District 6 record. The Trojans of Pleasantville have had a tough time stopping the ground game the last two weeks, having faced opponents who primarily use the run as their main attack, and this evening’s game will be no different. Head coach, Gabe Bakker, says that while stopping the run was a big focus during practices this week, putting together long, positive drives will be another vital part of their plan tonight. “What we need to do offensively is …chug out first downs,” Bakker said. “We need to eat the clock a little bit. Even if we don’t score, we need to get first downs and take five minutes off the clock. I think that is the biggest thing for our team, and we’ve got to find out a way to do that before anything else.” Pleasantville’s homecoming game will be streamed live at kniakrls.com, with Cory Houser and Bob Miller providing commentary starting at 6:30 p.m. with kickoff scheduled for seven. You can also catch a delayed broadcast of the game on AM 1320 KNIA Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
