The Knoxville Boys Cross Country Squad had a goal of getting a top five in Saturday’s Class 3A State Meet. The Panthers finished in sixth place just one point out of a top five. Wick Cunningham ended an outstanding career with a third place finish in a time of 15:41 seconds earning him All-State honors. The second-through-fifth place runners for Knoxville all finished within six seconds of each other in places 42nd-54th. Coach Mike Moats was extremely pleased with his team saying it could not have gone better. He says the guys are already looking to 2013 and setting goals of getting the Fort Dodge and finishing better.
