Around 36 hours after losing in a five-set thriller to Grinnell, the Pella Christian Eagles volleyball team had the privilege to play them again at a mini-tournament in Knoxville on Saturday, and ended up coming away with a different end result, sweeping the Tigers 21 – 14 and 21 – 17. The Eagles also defeated Perry in three sets. Pella Christian also hung tough with two very good 3A schools, losing in three sets to A-D-M, and losing in two to Iowa Falls. The Eagles’ record is now 15 – 17 on the year, and the Knoxville tournament marked their final warm-up before their opening round Regionals match at North Mahaska on Wednesday.
