Eagles Volleyball Team Hangs Tough, Falls to Eddyville-Blakesburg

Pella Christian’s volleyball team pushed a ranked Eddyville-Blakesburg team to the brink, but eventually fell in three sets, losing game one 25 – 13, coming back to win game two 25 – 19, and losing the deciding third set 15 – 9. Becca Gritters led the way for the Eagles with nine kills, while Jora Vander Hart had four ace serves. Pella Christian would come back to sweep the Pleasantville Trojans in two sets later in the evening, 25 – 16, 25 – 16. The Eagles’ record is now 12 – 14, and will next play at Knoxville this Monday.
