The Pleasantville Trojans’ first lead of the season was a 19 – 14 advantage to begin the fourth quarter of their game against Eddyville-Blakesburg on the 24th of August. They would not lead again until October 5th in their game against Southeast Warren. They may not have made the playoffs, but coach Gabe Bakker in his first year as head coach knew it was going to be a long, bumpy ride to the finish, but he ended his rookie season with a three game winning streak and sent his seniors out feeling good about themselves, and with a fifth place finish in Class A District 6. The Trojans turn their attention to the 2013 football season, looking to make the playoffs for the first time since 2008.
