Marion County residents woke up to freezing temperatures this morning. The National Weather Service says that chilly temperatures will remain through today and tonight prior to a warming trend for Sunday and Monday. A weak weather system will brush northern Iowa this morning with a few flurries. Milder temperatures will return early next week as highs reach the lower 70s on Columbus Day. Highs next week will generally be in the 60s with lows in the 30s and 40s.
