Central College is hosting a five-week “Championship Hitting School” for area baseball players. It will take place inside the Kuyper Fieldhouse December 2 and 9, as well as January 20 and 27, and finally on February 10. Kids age 9 – 13 will have their “class” from 4 – 5:30 p.m. and ages 14 – 18 is from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. Adam Stevens, the Central Dutch head baseball coach, will be the “teacher,” as well as several current Dutch players and staff. Kids will get instruction on bunting, count hitting, plate discipline, strike zone knowledge, hitting drills, preparation tips, as well as getting video swing analysis on an individual basis.
