The Knoxville Community Heritage Foundation presented two grants last week to area organizations. One grant went to help with the $18,000 project at the Bessie Spaur Butterfly Garden. An enhanced rain garden was created to diminish watershed problems at the garden, helping out the garden, Knoxville Hospital and Clinics, and local conservation efforts in the process.

The Foundation also presented a check to the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum. Director Bob Baker says the Foundation’s support is important because it shows the community knows that they aren’t just working toward their own goals, but also toward the goals and needs of the Knoxville community.
