The Knoxville Cross Country Squads will participate in the Class 3A District/Regional today at the Central College Course which will be hosted by Pella High. The Boys started slow this season, but have caught on in recent weeks and finished third just 20 points out of the second place Grinnell in the Little Hawkeye Conference meet last week. Meanwhile, the girls who have been led all season by Junior Courtney Hughs will be looking to sneak into one of the three team qualifying spots. Coach Mike Moats says the girls will be a tough call to catch Williamsburg, Benton, and Pella while the boys are not just satisfied with just getting in, but also to challenge for the top two. Moats says Hughs will also have a tough run to get a top ten, however he adds she has been looking to this day since the end of last season. The top three teams and the top ten individuals will qualify for the State Meet in Fort Dodge.
