Knoxville Middle School Could Start Playing South Central Conference Teams As Early As Next Year

While the high school schedules for the Knoxville sports teams will change pending the move to the South Central Conference in 2014, the middle school schedules may change sooner. Knoxville Athletic Director Randy Wilson says a few of the S-C-C schools are only a half an hour away which provides an opportunity to travel to games and not get back late. He says plans are already in the works next year for middle schools teams to start playing South Central Conference teams. Wilson adds even playing schools like Pella, Pella Christian and Oskaloosa will give teams a chance to play high level competition but still not be out too late on school nights. You can hear the complete interview with Randy Wilson on tonight’s Marion County P-M Sports Page following In Depth at 6:30 on KNIA/KRLS.
