The Pella High volleyball team is the only local volleyball team still playing, and tonight will be their toughest test yet. Solon owns the second best record in the state in Class 4A, with a mark of 29 – 4 entering this evening’s match against the Lady Dutch. Solon has the edge in practically every category over Pella, including a 27.2% kill efficiency rate. Pella does have more ace serves on the season, with a 174 – 145 advantage over the Lady Spartans. The winner of tonight’s semifinal regional match advances to the finals to play either Indianola or Oskaloosa this Tuesday for the right to advance to the State Quarterfinals in Cedar Rapids. Just a reminder, tonight’s game has been moved to H-L-V’s high school court in Victor due to travel limitations and regulations. First serve is slated for 7:00 p.m.
