With Twin Cedars off on a bye week, the Melcher-Dallas football team will be the only area eight-man team to play tonight, and it’s going to be a doozy. Wayne will be coming to town with a flawless 6 – 0 record on the year; the second such opponent Melcher-Dallas will have faced in as many days. Coach Ryan Conrad told KNIA/KRLS sports that the reason the Falcons have been so good is their speed. Wayne’s leading rusher, Clayton Kiefer, has 875 yards on the ground on 80 touches, for an average of just under 11 yards per carry, and has found the end zone 14 times. Kickoff of tonight’s game is at 7:00 p.m.
