For the first time in almost ten seasons, the Knoxville Football Squad will go into the final week of the regular season with a shot to make the playoffs. With a win over Oskaloosa this Friday coupled with a Norwalk loss to Carlisle, the Panthers will get their first playoff bid since 1990. Coach Troy Rider says the only thing that Knoxville can control is whether his team can beat the Indians. He adds everybody will be locked in from the players all the way up to the coaching staff. If the scenario plays out in Knoxville’s favor, the Panthers would get the fourth seed in Class 3A District eight which would mean a road game against the champion out of District seven in the first round of the playoffs.
