The Pella Christian Eagles have faced a lot of adversity in the last couple of weeks; first, they lost Caleb Morgan due to an injury, then they lose their first game of the season last week at Ogden, and now this week, they’ll be facing an offensive attack they haven’t went up recently. The Van Meter Bulldogs’ starting quarterback, Brandon Brittain, is a threat to pass the ball, and he’s even more of a threat running the pigskin. “I’m not sure we’ve seen a dual threat quarterback this year the way the Van Meter quarterback is,” Pella Christian Eagles head coach, Rich Kacmarynski said. “He is a legitimate run/throw option every down. We’ve gone against the PCM quarterback who’s a fine thrower, we’ve gone against the Central Decatur quarterback who’s a fine runner, but this might be the first test of a real dual-threat quarterback that we’ve seen, so that’s probably the biggest thing that I anticipate in the game tonight.” Eagles head coach, Rich Kacmarynski adds, that it will be important for his team to get out to a fast start, one that they didn’t get out to last week in their loss. You can hear tonight’s game streamed live at kniakrls.com, with a delayed broadcast on 92.1 KRLS immediately following the Pella football game. Trevor Castle and Larry Hessing will be bringing you the play-by-play with pregame starting at 6:30 p.m. and kickoff at seven.
